Booby Trap

April 4, 2014 in Downtown Fullerton Art Walk

Tonight we celebrate the “girls”!

Booby Trap is an exhibit with over thirty contributing artists who have donated bras or bra-related pieces to raise awarenes and benefit breast cancer research. The amount of support and talent generated into this event is overwhelming. From John Sollom’s serious message on prevention to Nancy Johnson’s wit and wonder, to Leah Steel’s intricately-beaded and lopsided masterpiece, this is one show you will not want to miss!

The exhibits will be held between two venues,  Roadkill Ranch (located at 119 E. Commonwealth Ave.) and Artside Studio (located in the Magoski Arts Colony at 223 W. Santa Fe. Ave.).

Aside from the creatively, decorated bras, other mediums include: clay, oil painting, basket weaving, mosaic and photography.

Bid sheets will be provided for all of the items, and minimum bid and increment amounts for raising bids will be indicated on each sheet. Bidding will progress until 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 6th at the closing show where the entire exhibit will unite at Roadkill Ranch.

Roadkill Ranch will host a shopping party during the closing reception in which  20% of their entire sales from 5 p.m.  to 7 p.m. will be donated to breast cancer research.

We hope to see you soon.artsideposter1Picture 51972416_4043654706805_395631006_nnancyjohnsonbtPicture 12
