oh, hello friend shop is pleased to feature illustrator and letterpress printer Sophia Pappas for the Fullerton Art Walk. Join us from 6-10pm for refreshments and live linoleum carving demonstrations.

Sophia Pappas is an illustrator and letterpress printer from Detroit, Michigan. She grew up in a small rural town in Michigan surrounded by grass fields and her mother’s overgrown garden. Though she’s fallen in love with the hills of California, her work is endlessly inspired by summers in Michigan. Sophia graduated from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and discovered letterpress printing in a book making class. She grew addicted to the industrial craft of printing and currently prints on a beautiful Vandercook SP15 at the Irvine Fine Arts Center. Most of her work is carved by hand into linoleum blocks and printed on the letterpress. Sophia’s focus is to make simple and sweet designs for people to share with those they love.
