Jill Sarratt-Chavez and Laura Butler @ Trichology

July 30, 2018 in Downtown Fullerton Art Walk

You are invited to a very special art exhibit at Trichology on August 3rd during the Downtown Fullerton Art Walk. This event is from 6-10pm and is free and open to the public.

Jill Sarratt-chavez is a tattoo artist who’s been in the business 23 years. She paints with watercolors and acrylics. Her multimedia pieces use dried flowers, crystals, bones and taxidermy pieces. She’s a mama of 4 rad kids and 4 squishy fur kids.

Word Artist Laura Butler is a proud Los Angeles native. She is a poet, a writer/director and sometimes surfer when the ocean temps don’t make her knees ache. Her framed poetry pieces are hand stamped, with re-purposed frames, and handmade papers. They are also a part of Laura’s larger work, THE PICTURE ME PROJECT. Inside every framed poetry piece is a “story within a story.” When people purchase one of Laura’s word art poems, they are invited to be a part of THE PICTURE ME PROJECT. The surprise part of the story within a story, details and a self-addressed stamp envelope for the purchaser to send to Laura are included with each piece. Laura’s hope with THE PICTURE ME PROJECT is to bring together the rich diversity of people in cities from coast-to-coast and go against the current trend of anger and divisiveness.

Trichology is located at 110 N. Harbor Blvd. Fullerton, Ca.
